Cookies on yomicon.world

The short answer: we set none. Here is what that means and what still loads from other services.

What a cookie is

A cookie is a small text file that a website asks your browser to save, so it can recognise you on a later visit — for a login, a shopping cart or for measuring traffic. Similar tools include local storage and tracking pixels.

What this site does

Yomicon does not place cookies, does not use local storage, and has no analytics, advertising or social-media tracking. The site has no JavaScript at all. The plan builder and the menu work with plain HTML and CSS, so nothing about your choices is remembered once you leave the page.

Services that still load

Two outside services are contacted when a page opens:

  • Hosting provider — delivers the pages and keeps technical server logs.
  • Google Fonts (Google LLC) — delivers the typefaces Bricolage Grotesque, Figtree. Your browser sends Google its IP address and browser details. Google's own policies apply to that connection.

More detail is in our privacy policy.

Controlling cookies

You can see, block or delete cookies in your browser at any time:

  • Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Third-party cookies;
  • Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data;
  • Safari: Settings → Privacy → Manage Website Data;
  • Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions.

If we ever add cookies, we will update this page first and ask for your consent where the law requires it.

A note on food and health

Yomicon prepares everyday meals with a stated calorie range, and the texts on this site are general information about balanced eating and portion awareness. We describe what is in a box, how plans are delivered and what you can choose. Our meals do not diagnose, treat or replace care for diabetes, thyroid conditions, kidney disease, eating disorders or any other condition. Weight, energy and wellbeing depend on many things, and no meal plan can promise a particular result. If you have a health condition, take medication, are pregnant or notice changes that worry you, talk to a doctor or a registered dietitian first.
